Chuck E. Bumps was born and raised on the north side of Chicago, within blocks of Wrigley Field.
The distinct jazz and blues that Chicago is renowned for ,influenced Chuck from an early age.
Growing up in an era of cool music, cool cars and fashion- the true essence of American music and style influences Chuck to this day.
A well schooled musician, Chuck attended the Bloom School of Jazz and studied privately with George Allen , who is considered “The Forefather of Chicago Jazz Guitar.”
Chuck later moved to Hollywood and attended the California Guitar Institute. It was there he played with many of the biggest and brightest musicians and gained much experience.
Chuck is currently based in Las Vegas performing his own brand of roots American jazz and blues. He performs at many venues including The Dennis Bono Show at Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino.

He prides himself in his musical diversity as he is of the generation that saw the birth of the American music revolution – starting with Elvis, Eddie Cochran , Gene Vincent and the other pioneers in the 1950s.

However , this musical diversity also draws upon the golden era of singers and big bands from that era : Louis Prima, Bobby Darin to name a few, that influences Chuck to this day.
Chuck has a musical passion which transcends through to his live shows either solo, as a trio or in a big band setting (with extremely talented musicians) as Chuck E Bumps and The Crocodiles.
In addition to his performing career, Chuck also runs the successful Bump City Music and Blue Moon Recording Studio near Las Vegas.
